Oyo govt feigns ignorance over destruction of Ayefele’s radio station

The government of Oyo State is feigning ignorance over the destruction of the Music House, the building housing Fresh FM 109.5, Ibadan owned by gospel singer Yinka Ayefele.

That much information was revealed by Yomi Alliyu (SAN), the leading counsel to the Oyo State government, Yomi Alliyu (SAN) while the case was mentioned at an Oyo state High court in Ibadan this morning

Before the case was later adjourned for further hearing till September 12 this year by Justice Iyabo Yerima, Alliyu said the state was not responsible for the destruction of the office and also added that the government is planning to set up a panel of inquiry to find out those responsible for the demolition.

”My clients are men of honour that respect rule of law and constituted authority and will have no reason to demolish the said property,” he told the court.

In a related development, former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has condemned the demolition of the multimillion building owned by Yinka Ayefele.

Reacting to the demolition in a message posted on Twitter on Monday, Fani-Kayode said Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, will pay heavily for the demolition.

He wrote on Twitter; “The Lord is the defender of the defenseless, He is the champion of the weak and He provides for the needy. He raises His standard against the oppressor and He is mighty in battle.

“Ajimobi will pay a heavy price for his sheer wickedness and unrelenting cruelty to Ayefele,” he added.
