Oyo lawmaker feared dead after being shot in the eye

A serving lawmaker representing Akinyele/ Lagelu federal constituency, Hon. Temitope Olatoye has been reportedly shot dead by political thugs.

He was said to have been shot in the eye after casting his votes in Ward 13 Lagelu local government area of the State.

Unconfirmed reports say the lawmaker who lost the National Assembly election bid to return to the Senate two weeks ago might have died as a result of the injury.

He reportedly gave up the ghost at the University College Hospital (UCH) where he was rushed to after the gunshot.

Olatoye decamped to from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Action Democratic Party (ADP) where he ran in the election held on Saturday 23rd February. He later lost to Senator Teslim Folarin of APC
