Passengers groan as fuel price hits N180 per litre in Ebonyi

Published

on

Two weeks to Christmas, pump price of petrol has risen from N150 to N180 in Ebonyi State. The product was sold in the state between N150 and N155 last two weeks.

Although the commodity is available in the state, its price was expected to increase next week.

The increment in pump price of the product had led to a rise in transport fares within the state. Before the increase in the pump price, tricycle operators were charging N30 per passenger for short distance but now charge N50, while long distance which was N50 is now between N70 and N100.
