Past weeks have been incredibly trying, difficult, says D’banj after sons death

Former Mo’Hits co-founder Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known in music circles as D’banj has taken to Instagram for the first time to express how he has been coping with the unfortunate demise of his one-year-old son Daniel Oyebanjo.

The musician, who has stepped away from the spotlight along with his wife Lineo Didi Kilgrow, returned to social media a month and a half after his 13-month-old son died in an apparent drowning accident.

D’banj posted a picture of himself praying in a church and described some of the emotions he’s gone through over the last few weeks, while also thanking fans and his team for their support during his mourning.

“I can’t thank my team enough and the incredible love from you all. May God keep us all. #StrongerTogether”

The toddler son of the musician reportedly drowned at an unguarded pool in the singer’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, in an incident which sent shockwaves across the entire music industry and led to tributes from fans of D’banj around the world.
