Leke Adeboye, son of the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has pointed out, that coronavirus pandemic will affect s*xual intercourse and possibly teach people that it is possible to be celibate.

Adeboye in a post on his official Instagram page said with the outbreak of coronavirus, people will understand that they can survive without s*x and be celibate to survive the disease.

He wrote thus on Instagram; “Coronavirus will let some people know that they can be celibate and not die.”

His comments on Instagram comes after the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, said on Thursday there was a high possibility of the Covid-19 virus being transmitted through s*xual intercourse.

Ehanire, who disclosed this at an emergency press briefing in Abuja, said he believed the virus could be transmitted sexually if one of the persons involved was positive.

However, this claim is subject to scientific testing as the COVID-19 is a new disease and several types of research are still being undertaken on the pattern of the disease’ transmission.
