Pastor goes dumb, motionless trying to destroy shrines
A mild drama played out in the Ketu community located in Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State when an exorcist pastor who tried to destroy an idol shrine became motionless.
The pastor who had earlier told his congregation that he had a revelation to bring down all shrines in Ketu became motionless after he reportedly destroyed some shrines in the community.
Residents of the area reportedly raised an alarm after the pastor was found transfixed at the last shrine he visited and moments later, the custodians of the shrine came over insisting that some rites be carried out for the pastor to regain his senses.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state acting Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident, revealed that the pastor might be charged for “sacrilege and malicious damage.”
“The command got the report at its division in Ayetoro that one Evangelist Wale Fagbere went to Ketu to destroy traditional worshipers’ shrines. After the destruction, the man became motionless and could not talk.
“When the policemen visited the place, the traditionalists said the subject could not be taken away until some rites were performed. The victim was revived and handed over to his family for more spiritual cleansing.”
