Pastor nabbed for cutting off, burying head of 7-yr-old boy in church

Pandemonium struck at the Odokekere area of Ikorodu, Ogun State, when the dismembered head of a seven-year-old boy identified as Kazeem Rafiu was found buried at an uncompleted church building belonging to a self-acclaimed prophet simply known as Erin Imole.

Reports say the victim whose parents are family friends with the pastor was left alongside five of his other siblings by his mother Mrs Tawakalitu Rafiu in the custody of a co-tenant at their Sotunyo Street, Soso Bus Stop residence on Wednesday.

On her return, Mrs. Rafiu said she discovered that her seven-year-old boy was missing and when she raised an alarm she was informed by one of her kids who saw the pastor luring her son away that Kazeem was in the custody of the cleric who did not know that he was seen when taking the boy away.

The pastor was however caught when he was accosted by a vigilante group who suspected his movement and when he was questioned, he confessed to selling the boy to an accomplice for N130,000, adding that the boy would be used for rituals at First Gate area of Ikorodu by 4a.m.

The vigilante group according to reports alerted the Community Development Authority and policemen from Ogijo Division who arrived the scene of the ritual arresting one Adedoyin Oyekanmi who confessed that the dismembered body of Kazeem was in the prophet’s custody at Oju-Odo.

On arrival at the church premises, Kazeem’s dismembered head was found buried in a shallow grave within the Church’s uncompleted building, while other parts of the body were found packed in a polythene bag at the church premises.

According to a police source, the suspects have confessed to the murder of the boy, saying they belong to a group of ritualists in Ikorodu.

While addressing a group of aggrieved residents who set the prophet’s uncompleted building ablaze, Chief Ajose Olowu, the Baale of the community where the incident happened said the needful will be done by allowing the police do their job.

    End time is very near, just few miles around the corner. Only God can save us from prophet of doom that many in the world.

      What end time is near? People have been shouting end time since I was very young, I grew up to “end time is near” adage, yet end time hasn’t arrived. If end time was crawling like snail, it would have gotten here long ago.

      It’s written in the Holy Bible that such things like this will happen, so it’s not new. Let’s just pray to GOD not to fall victim of these evil pastors
