Pastor shot as unknown gunmen attack Anambra church

There was chaos and unrest in Awka, Anambra State when unknown gunmen attacked Grace and Power Prophetic Ministry and shot at the pastor of the church.

According to reports, the incident which saw the middle-aged pastor, popularly called Miracle Pastor, shot in his legs happened a few metres from the B Division of the Anambra State Police Command in the Anambra State Secretariat area of Awka, the state capital.

A source in the know who declined to be named said the assailants who had trailed the pastor from Enugu State had demanded N5m from the victim for an undisclosed purpose but were offered N1m by the pastor, which they allegedly rejected.

He said; “As soon as they got to his church, they opened fire on the pastor. They snatched some undisclosed amount of money from him, leaving him unconscious. His vehicle was riddled with bullets.”

The incident was however not confirmed by Haruna Mohammed, the Police Public Officer in the state, who said he was yet to be briefed on the matter.
