PDP appoints Jibrin as acting BoT chairman

History will never forgive Buhari for his inaction – Jibrin

The Peoples Demicratic Party, PDP, Wednesday got a new acting Chairman for its Board of Trustees (BoT), as Senator Walid Jubrin was named as replacement for Dr. Haliru Bello Mohammed, who is currently standing trial over allegations that he received part of the alleged $2.1 billion arms procurement money from former National Security Adviser,  NSA, Sambo Dasuki.

Senator Jubrin, who before his elevation was the Secretary of the BoT, is however expected to remain the substantive secretary for the time being.

The decision was arrived at after a meeting of the BoT at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

Jubrin, while addressing journalists after the meeting, said the PDP BoT backs the Northeast zone of the party to occupy the position of substantive National Chairman, to replace Prince Uche Secondus who is the acting chairman.

According to him, the zone would meet next week to pick a new National chairman for the party.
