This was disclosed by the media head of the EFCC in Kano, Mr. Medard Ehimika, who added that Dakingari is cooperating with EFCC operatives in their investigations.

The money is said to be part of the N23 billion election bribe money coordinated by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

It was gathered, that aside the N450 million, EFCC interrogators are also grilling the former governor over the alleged diversion of N550 million state funds to the PDP during the 2015 presidential campaign.
