PDP caused Buhari's sickness, APC chieftain claims

A stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief Modestus Umenzekwe, says the mal-administration of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is the reason President Muhammadu Buhari fell ill.

Buhari who suffered from an unknown ailment, spent 103 days in London, on a follow-up treatment, and only just recently returned to Nigeria.

Umenzekwe lamented that the massive corruption that took place under the PDP, which was in power for 16 years is enough to make anybody saddled with the responsibility of sanitizing the system fall sick.

Umenzekwe in a statement said that the previous administrations in the country engaged in “monumental heap of corruption”, which Buhari inherited on assumption of duty.

According to him, the visit of Buhari’s media team to him in London, “exposed the opposition and their cohorts of the kind of thoughts that ruled Nigerians for 16 years. President Buhari’s ill health was caused the monumental heap of corruption that he met when he assumed duty.

“In the power sector alone over N11 trillion was spent and yet nothing to show for it. What the APC government met under power is enough to give Buhari ill health.

“Look at the findings in the Ministry of Petroleum where someone accumulated the wealth of over three nations put together. What about the bad roads. Today the entire Apapa, in Lagos is being closed down for one year for full road reconstruction. The road network is in shamble up to Tincan Island Ports. That is why the pressure from those calling for the restructuring of Nigeria is on the rise”.

While highlighting the number of public organizations that were grounded under the previous government, the APC chieftain also said that the present administration was creating the atmosphere for change to happen.

“When people are talking about change, I laugh because the true meaning of change is nothing but creating a very congenial atmosphere in the state administration. What has Buhari inherited from his predecessors, nothing. Where is Nigerian Airways, Nigerian National Shipping Line, National Electric Power Authority? Most of these were fraudulently privatized.

“What are the benefits the nation derived from such privatization? What has happened to the old National Assembly Complex at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, the National Stadium, Tafawa Balewa Square, The National Arts Theatre, The Nigerian Telecommunication (NITEL)? They have all gone into oblivion. They are either sold away or completely abandoned to decay. They are now gathering to take over governance in 2019 when we are yet to clean the mess they made. They are all dreamers”, Umenzekwe declared.

Apc should not make me hate them with this nonsense. Why didn’t Osinbajo fall sicks all this while? After all, he has presided over the country more than buhari.

Come to think of it, Umenzekwe’s claim is correct. Buhari is old and it is expected he falls sick, but what his administration met made his health worse.

It appears so, but PDP isn’t the giver or take of health. Buhari is simply not fit to be the president of Nigeria, health wise. He’s too old to tackle the multiple problems of this country.

Absolute nonsense. APC and their habit of blaming people for their errors. We are tired of blame games already, the party ought to know by now.Why didn’t they allow Buhari resign when he fell sick since they know previous administration left only corruption for them? Useless people
