PDP claims 3,000 APC, ZLP party members decamp to its fold in Oyo

The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has claimed that no less than 3,000 members who defected from various political parties in the state have been welcomed to its fold.

Chairman of the PDP Oyo State chapter, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, who made the claim on Sunday said the defected party members were from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

Mustapha claimed that the mass defection signals the end of the APC in four local governments areas in the state.

Led by Chief Basiru Ahmed Aranse, the defected politicians, who are mainly from Itesiwaju, Iwajowa, Kajola and Iseyin, described their move as home coming.
