PDP continues comeback strategy, meets with Jonathan, Tukur

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Strategy Review Committee headed by Prof Jerry Gana on Monday visited former President Goodluck Jonathan and the former national chairman of the party, Bamanga Tukur in their different residences in Abuja.

The visit was revealed in a post on the party’s official Twitter account, stating that the purpose of the meeting was to present a copy of the Strategy Review and Inter Party Affairs report to them.

The committee, set up by Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Working Committee of the party, was upon inauguration mandated to review the affairs of the party and proffer recommendations for its rebuilding process.

The tweets read, “Happening now, the members of the Strategy Review Committee are meeting with the former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan at his residence, Abuja.

“The committee was at the residence of the former President to present the report to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR.

“The delegation is now at the residence of the former National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur to submit the report of the Strategy Committee.

“The delegation is leaving Dr. Bamanga Tukur residence, will proceed to Minna to meet with former Head of State. Gen. Ibrahim Babangida.

“The meeting with the former Head of State, Gen. Babangida is put off to a later date. The Committee is now heading to Chief Anenih’s house.”

The PDP, which was in power for 16 years from 1999 when Nigeria returned to democratic governance, has been a shadow of itself since losing power to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 presidential elections.

Some of the problems of the party which preceded 2015 election and the present leadership tussle between senators Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu Sheriff, have continued to threaten the party’s strength and ability to become a viable party once again.

The three key players who unite and strengthen pdp again is obj, ibb and anenih with probably Jonathan but I doubt these forces can team up again hinge on betrayer and lack of trust. Pdp can’t bounce back again but let’s wait and see the end result in a long run.

No doubt, 2019 is looking good for us. We have to unseat APC from the presidential post, Nigerians are suffering, we’re here to make like peaceful and comfortable for them. By 2019, all Nigerians should vote PDP enmass

“The committee was at the residence of the former President to present the report to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR,” the same residence Jonathan built with our money. The hand of law will soon get to him, very useless fellow who got Nigeria to a poverty stage before he left the seat for Buhari

You this girl, will you keep your mouth shut and stop saying rubbish. You only have fine look, your brain is so horrible! Everything happening in Nigeria now is not Jonathan’s fault but, Buhari’s incapability. Get your head together and blame Buhari’s government for suffering us.
