PDP CRISIS: Markarfi, Sheriff keen on solution, hold meeting

The crisis of leadership bedevilling the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seems to be drawing to an end.

The two factional chairmen of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu Sheriff met in Abuja on Tuesday to discuss ways of ending the crisis in the party.

They reportedly discussed modalities on composition of members of a committee, comprising members from the two factions, who would meet and agree on terms for resolving the crisis.

Makarfi was escorted to the meeting by spokesperson for his group, Mr. Dayo Adeyeye among others to the meeting which held at Sheriff’s office, at the Maitama District area of Abuja.
