PDP members protest against return of ex-minister Oduah

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State weekend, protested against the return of Senator Stella Oduah to the party.

Oduah, a former Minister of Aviation, represents Anambra North in the Senate.

The members warned that a return of the senator to the PDP will have them work against the party in the 2019 general elections, especially that of the Senate.

The party nembers from Ayamelum had earlier during the weekend protested against the senator when she appeared before the screening committee set up by National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

The Ayamelum PDP members accused Odua of dumping the party and working against its candidate during the last governorship election in Anambra State in favour of Governor Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The spokesman of the aggreived members, Hon George Nwofia said: “it was unthinkable that the senator would return to PDP after she openly worked against the party in favour of Governor Willie Obiano to frustrate the PDP’s flag bearer in the last Anambra State governorship election.”
