Indications emerged yesterday that presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) may agree on consensus candidate for the 2019 presidential election.
A Presidential aspirant and former Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr. Kabiru Taminu-Turaki, who disclosed this, said all the presidential aspirants of the party were already meeting in a bid to have a candidate ahead the presidential primary of the party without any rancour.
Turaki expressed the hope that the selection of the PDP’s presidential candidate would not cause any crisis in the party. According to him, the party was determined to oust the present administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
