PDP's expels ex Gov Gbenga Daniel, others

The PDP tsunami of suspensions has gotten stronger as the party on Saturday announced the expulsion of former Ogun State governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

Also affected was a member of the House of Representatives from Remo North federal
constituency, Ladi Adebutu for alleged offence of willfully undermining the party.

Also expelled were a factional Chairman of the Party, Sikirulahi Ogundele and his secretary, Tolu Bankole.

Ogun State PDP Chairman, Bayo Dayo who announced the recommendation of
the State Executive at a Press Conference at the party secretariat in Abeokuta, said that the former governor and others having been examined for their alleged anti-party activities, were found guilty.

According to him, Daniel lost his rights in the party as a former governor having once dumped the party for the Labour Party before rejoining PDP in 2015 and so should be treated as a returnee.

The state chapter of the party had only on Friday suspended Senator Buruji Kashamu and six others over anti-party activities.
