Petitions slowing down activities for APC, PDP

PETITIONS by some of the aspirants that fell by the way side during the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, appear to be slowing down political activities in the two parties.

Senator Andy Uba, who lost to Dr. Tony Nwoye in APC, was believed not to have agreed to work for the candidate of the party and some of his supporters appear not to be happy about it.

In fact, some of the party supporters told Vanguard that they were surprised that Uba, who received maximum support from Nwoye when he contested for governorship and won in 2007, would turn around to be making things difficult for the person who has continued to call the Senator ‘my boss’.

“The best thing for Senator Uba to do is to collapse his structure into Nwoye’s to ensure that APC wins the November election.. We are waiting for him (the senator) to direct us to start working for Tony, otherwise we will take the decision on our own and that would mean the end of our political support for him in future,” a staunch member of Senator Uba said.
