#PFA Awards: Salah named Player of the Year

Reigning African Player of the Year, Mohamed Salah has won the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the Year award for the 2017-18 season.

The Egyptian superstar beat Kevin de Bruyne, Harry Kane, Leroy Sane, David Silva and David de Gea to the title.

Salah has had an incredible first season at Liverpool, having helped the Merseyside so far to sit on third in the Premier League and in the semifinal of the Champions League.

The 25-year-old forward is the leading scorer in the Premier League with 31 goals (plus 9 assists) in 33 league games, and leads the race for the Golden Boot.
