Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and a number of governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday stormed Rivers State ahead of the rerun elections in that state.
They gathered at a final campaign rally to boost the chances of the party in the poll slated to hold on Saturday.
The run up to the rerun has drawn a lot of bad blood among major players in the state, especially between the state’s governor, Nyesome Wike of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the APC.
Among those in the state for the rally are governors Godwin Obaseki (Edo) Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun) Samuel Ortom (Benue) Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (Kano) and the governor-elect of of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu, as well as the APC national; Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
