PHOTOSCENE: Army shooting competition kicks off in Sambisa without Buhari

The Nigerian Army Small Arms Championship kicked off at Camp Zairo, Sambisa Forest (NASAC) on Tuesday without the presence of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari.

The President who pulled out of the event without reason adduced was represented by the minister of Defence, Brig Gen Mansur Dan Ali (retired).

Also present at the event were the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Tukur Buratai; Senator Binta Masi Garba; Chairman of Senate Committee on Defence, Senator Abubakar Kyari; Borno State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Shettima and General Officer Commanding 7th Division of the Nigerian Army Brig Gen Victor Ezugwu among others.
