PhotoView: Buhari in handing over of team Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday took part in the Formal Handing over of Nigeria’s team to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. There was also a Traditional Investiture of President Buhari as Grand Patron of the Nigeria Olympic Committee at Statehouse, Abuja.

Others present at the event included Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Sports and Youth Development Solomon Dalung and FCT Minister Mohammed Bello

The president urged the Nigerian athletes to the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, to put in their best and win gold medals in their various events at the Games.

He also warned them to desist from performance enhancing drugs and other activities that could dent Nigeria’s image.
