President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has claimed Nigeria is close to securing the services of Chelsea FC striker, Tammy Abraham.

The Swansea City loanee, Abraham, who has represented England at junior level, is eligible to play for the Super Eagles having never played for the Three Lions.

Pinnick told the Federation’s website on Thursday of his meeting with the striker and said “all is looking good” as talks are yielding positives.

“Most recently, there was a meeting with Tammy, which Tammy’s agent, Neil Fewills also attended. It was a useful meeting, and I can say the talks are at an appreciable level now and all is looking good,” Pinnick told thenff.com

“Tammy is like a son to me, because his father was my childhood friend. I believe he is a good prospect for the Super Eagles and the effort is well worth it.”

Abraham scored 23 goals for Bristol City last season on loan from Chelsea FC, and in Swansea City where he currently plays, again on loan from Chelsea, he has scored a goal this season.
