Pipeline explosion rocks Warri

Published

on

An early morning explosion rocked the oil city of Warri Wednesday morning, creating anxiety among resident.

Early reports say it was an oil pipeline explosion on one of the facilities belonging to the Shell company, but there were no reports yet as to the extent of damage, or if there were casualties.

Fire fighters were still battling to put out the fire from the burning pipeline close to the army barracks in Warri, as at the time of this report.

The fire has spread from the Baracks to Effurun Roundabout.

Witnesses say some spilled oil have been seen for months before now at some areas close to the scene of the incidence, especially close to the fly over bridge at the Effurun roundabout.
