Plateau trains health workers on early Lassa Fever detection

Following the fresh outbreak of Lassa Fever in Plateau State, the state government has put measures in place to contain the spread of the disease.

Consequently, the government has trained medical and health personnel as well as sensitised the populace on the need to maintain hygiene.

Speaking yesterday in Jos, the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Kunden Kamshak, while addressing newsmen at the routine monthly briefing, said so far 10 suspected cases of the disease had been recorded in the state.
