Former USA coach Gregg Berhalter was sacked after their group stage exit from the Copa America last July.

The USA have been on the lookout for a new coach ever since then.

It is the first time Pochettino will be managing a national team.

At club level, the 52-year-old has led Spurs to the Champions League final in 2019 and won a Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain.
