Pogba inspires incredible comeback as Man Utd delay City's EPL triumph

Paul Pogba scored two goals to spur Manchester United to an incredible second-half comeback win which delayed Manchester City’s title celebrations at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The Frenchman scored two goals in two minutes to overturn City’s first-half two-goal lead, before Chris Smalling’s header completed the dramatic turnaround.

The hosts were ahead in the first half after Vincent Kompany had scored a thumping header and Ilkay Gundogan’s sublime skill and precise finish put them 2-0 up.

But Pep Guardiola’s side, who would have been crowned champions had they won, will have to wait.

With the result, second-placed United narrowed the gap to 13 points hence City will need to win at Tottenham next weekend and hope United drop points at home to West Brom.

Meanwhile, the loss to their city rivals is only the second time this season that Man City have experienced defeat in the league, and they are still in the running for a treble this season.

They face Liverpool on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at the Etihad. They trail 3-0 from the first leg.
