Pogba returning to Juventus

Manchester United target Paul Pogba will return to Italy to train with Juventus on Monday.

Pogba has been holidaying in the United States while his agent Mino Raiola tries to broker a world-record £100m move for the France midfielder from Juve to United.

Sky sources revealed that a deal is now virtually agreed in principle between the clubs.

And on Friday, United boss Jose Mourinho said the club was trying “everything to close the market as quickly as possible.”

Juventus’ Serie A season begins a week after the Premier League, on 20 August, and they face West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday.

Boss Massimiliano Allegri was asked if he had identified transfer targets to replace Pogba in his squad but he said: “I’ve summoned Pogba together with (Patrice) Evra tomorrow night.

“So that means he has training here in Vinovo on Monday.”

Mourinho has so far signed defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund and former Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
