The Nigerian Police has reportedly arrested one of the conveners of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement, Oby Ezekwesili.

The former Education minister, as learnt, was arrested during a protest for the release of the remaining Chibok school girls, who were adopted by Boko Haram in Borno State, on April 14, 2014.

The leader of the BBOG announced her arrest and that of other members of the group in a series of tweets on her twitter handle.

She wrote, “President .@MBuhari members of our BBOG Movement @BBOG_Nigeria HAVE BEEN ARRESTED BY OUR IG of .@PoliceNG . We are all waiting to be arrested since it has become an offense to demand that you keep your promise to rescue all our Chibokgirls.

“I have been arrested along with rest of our BBOG members and now detained without a charge by the .@PoliceNG. WE are detained at the FCT command. The Police here has REFUSED to tell us why we are detained. What are we demanding? BringBackOurGirlsNOW!!!!!!!
