Police arrest Pastor for stealing laptops during seminar

The long arm of the law has caught up with a 47-year-old Pastor identified as Ikemefuna Aje after he allegedly stole 5 MacBooks, one HP computer and some assorted personal effects during a seminar.

The suspect was caught on CCTV committing the crime during a seminar a organised for internet brand managers at a hotel in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
Reports say Pastor Ikemefuna stole the gadgets when the seminar’s participants were having lunch in the hotel.

According to operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command, the suspect immediately took the items he stole down to Computer Village in Lagos, where he sold them to one Saliu Ibraheem for N1, 110, 000.

When asked how he got to know about the seminar which wasn’t advertised on national dailies or in any media house, Ikemefuna disclosed that he had people who give him information on conferences and seminars.

He further said that the seminar was one of the many others where he had gate crashed.

During investigations into the matter, Pastor Ikemefuna was traced to #5 Tony Street, Ejigbo, Lagos where he was hosting about 34 other church members in an house-fellowship.

He led the security operatives to his house, after he was nabbed where a 4Runner Toyota car, a master key, Zinox laptop, several computer bags, computer and tablet accessories as well as seminar materials and a sum of N700, 000, were recovered.

    MacBooks are very expensive, especially now that dollar is high, if the police dig deeper, they would realise the pastor is a fake pastor. No real pastor would steal when he/she is aware its a crime against God and law of the land

    What’s the name of the pastor’s church? all his members would be disgraced by his act. Pastor with no shame, he stole laptops during seminar, he must have been doing it for a long time.

      So long as the name of the church and its location weren’t given in the story, I doubt that this is true. Some of these junk news are mostly false.

    Man of God needs the laptop to do the work of God so the police should understand that with him. Wonders won’t cease unfolding.

      Lol. This is a pure theif and not man of GOD. He has been doing this for long for him to even have a place to dispose it immediately. He won’t escape this.

    I urge the Federal government to mount survelliance in all places in the country so as to expose more of these culprits. CCTV should be mounted every where.
