Police arrests 27 suspected criminals in Lagos

Police operatives in Lagos have arrested 27 suspected criminals in a planned raid on black spots in the state.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, who disclosed this to journalists on Sunday, said the raid was carried out by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on February 4 and February 5.

He said the state police command would continually take the fight to the dens of criminals and miscreants in the state.

The spots raided by the police include Abule-Egba, Agege, Alimosho, Ikeja, and Ile Zik areas of the state.

Others are – Alausa Central Business District, Dopemu Under Bridge, Shasha, Orisumbare, Iyana-Ipaja Underbridge, Ile-Epo and Isokoko.

The police commissioner assured the people of Lagos that the command would not relent in its effort to rid the state of armed robbery, cultism, and other social vices.
