Police arrests four suspected vandals in Niger
The Niger State Police Command on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of four suspects who allegedly vandalized 40 railway tracks in the Bosso local government area of the state.
The command’s spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement in Minna, said the police operatives were assisted in the bid to arrest the suspected vandals by members of a vigilante group in the area.
The suspects are – Adamu Abdullahi Ahmadu Sa’adu, Ojo Okuo and Rabiu Yunusa.

He added that the suspects were caught in two Hijet pickup vans loaded with the vandalised rail tracks along Maikunkele-Zheko road on January 9.
The spokesman said: “The suspects were arrested with 41 pieces of vandalized rail tracks loaded in two Hijet pickup vans with Reg. No. XG 668 AA and RSH 742 XB.”
