Police arrests nine #EndBadGovernance protesters for displaying Russian flag in Borno
Police operatives in Borno have arrested nine protesters for allegedly displaying Russian flags in Maiduguri, the state capital.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. Yusuf Lawal, disclosed this to journalists on Tuesday while giving a situation report on the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest in the state.
He said four protesters were arrested in the Zannari Tamsu area of Maiduguri on Monday.

The CP listed the protesters as Khalafi Abdulhamid, Mohammed Abubakar, Mohamed Ibrahim, and Abba Hassan.
He said: “Additionally, five more protesters were apprehended in the Bulumkutu area of Maiduguri, carrying Russian flags.
“The suspects, Bashir Ahmad, Musa Lawan, Abba Mallam, Habibu Auwal, and Inusa Abdullahi, were transferred to the Crack Squad for discreet investigation, and diligent prosecution.”
