Police arrests two suspected armed robbers in Delta

Police operatives in Delta have arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered ammunition and other exhibits in the state.
The spokesman for the state police command, Bright Edafe, disclosed this to journalists on Thursday in Warri.
Edafe said the suspects were caught on January 3 by the command’s operatives attached to the Ekpan Division in Uvwie local government area of the state.
He said the duo specialised in using tricycles to dispossess unsuspecting passengers of their belongings at night.

“Following intensive intelligence-led investigation, on January 3, two suspects were caught on the Warri-Sapele Road in Uvwie,” he said.
The spokesman added that two locally-made guns, 13 live cartridges, nine cell phones, and an operational tricycle were recovered from the suspects.
