When asked if it could have been a murder-suicide case, Interim Chicago Police Superintendent John Escalante said it was “a possibility.”

Continuing, Escalante said it appeared to be an isolated incident and there was no wider threat to the community.
Authorities have not determined the cause of death though the bodies found had signs of trauma.

When the police arrived at the single-family brick home just after 1 p.m, they looked inside and saw one body. When they eventually checked other rooms they found five more bodies.

Spokesman for the Chicago police Anthony Guglielmi said that police were “not yet” searching for suspects yet and it’s probable the victims were all family members and police were trying to locate relatives.
