Two notorious armed robbery suspects have been arrested by the Police in Enugu State after recovering one locally-made revolver pistol and five 9mm ammunition.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Friday said that the Command’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad trailed the suspects who were said to have been terrorising residents in Nsukka and parts of the state.

He added that the operatives were alerted on May 22, 11.30 a.m after an intelligent report about the suspects whereabouts.

The suspects were later caught after an attempt to escape from the operatives.

The police spokesman said that the two suspects were helping the command’s operatives in their investigations adding that they will be charged to court after investigations on the matter.
