Police parade 19 yr-old, others for beheading 3 in Imo

The Imo state police command in Owerri have arrested a 19-year-old boy, Prince Chikere, and four other kidnappers at Obitti in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area for allegedly beheading three persons.

According to sources, the Police operatives had been trailing the gang for months over the alleged murder of their victims, said to be three young boys.

94 others were also arrested in connection with the beheading of the boys at Obitti after operatives of SARS and Operation Puff Adder trailed the suspects.

The state Police Commissioner, Rabiu Ladodo, in a statement said one of the suspects identified Desmond Alozie, sustained gunshot injury on his right leg during a gun battle with the operatives. He was rushed to hospital for medication where he was treated and discharged.

Rabiu revealed that the ring suspect, Prince, confessed to be a member of Iceland cult that killed the boys.

One locally-made double-barrelled gun with four live unexpended cartridges, 20 wraps of marijuana, large quantity of Indian hemp wrappers, packets of cocaine, five lighters, two cutlasses and one black motorcycle were recovered from them.

He noted that the suspects will be prosecuted and charged to court after further investigations
