He also added that two male suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident, saying that investigation was ongoing.

Ripples Nigeria had reported that Rabo, who is the Suleja Area Commander in Niger State, was kidnapped while traveling alone in his car on Saturday.

The abductors were said to have requested N50 million ransom.

He said, “Rabo was traveling in his civil dress in his private car and without escort or any security at the time of the incident. He was not targeted as a cop, it was purely an opportunistic crime maliciously targeted at citizens using that particular road.”
