Police say Munich attacker was ‘obsessed’ with mass shooting

Munich police chief Hubertus Andrae has revealed that the teen gunman who shot and killed nine people and wounded 16 others at the busy Olympia Shopping Centre was “deranged” and “obsessed” with mass shootings.
Investigations revealed that books about mass killings were found at the suspects home including a book titled “Rampage in Head: Why Students Kill” as police detectives were linking him with Anders Breivik.
The attack was carried out exactly five years to the day since mass killer Breivik began slaughtering dozens of people in Norway.
Munich police chief said: “Breivik would have played a role. It’s obvious that he did.”
He described the attack as a “classic act by a deranged person” and described an individual “obsessed” with mass shootings.
