Jammeh who seemed to have called time on his 22-year reign following his loss to opposition candidate Adama Barrow, ruffled feathers, especially that of the international community, when he rapidly conceded defeat only to rescind his concession claiming “serious and unacceptable abnormalities” calling for fresh polls.
Eyebrows are also now been raised after Gambian security forces seized the country’s Independent Electoral Commission earlier this week even as Jameh’s party is now challenging the result in the Supreme Court.
