Priest shot, many injured as herdsmen invade seminary

Invaders suspected to be herdsmen on Monday morning attacked a seminary in Jalingo, Taraba State.

Emerging reports indicate that they beat up two priests in the premises, and shot one in the leg.

Although details are yet to emerge, it was gathered that the invaders also destroyed many cars parked in the seminary, and that some students were also injured in the melee.

According to Director of Caritas Nigeria, an agency of the Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Bassey, who sent out messages of the invasion on social media, those injured have been transported to the Federal Medical Centre, for treatment.
