Prime suspect of Paris attacks to appear in court today
The prime suspect of the deadly attacks in Paris which took place in November last year, is set to appear in court today to answer questions for the first time since he was extradited from Belgium.
French authorities are hoping that Abdeslam’s testimony will throw more light on the strategies of a growing ISIS network across Europe.
The suspect will later today be moved from high-security prison in the Parisian suburb of Fleury-Merogis to the main Paris courthouse for questioning by investigating judges.
26-year-old Abdeslam who is the only suspect still alive believed to have played a direct role in the Nov. 13 bloodshed was given a string of preliminary terrorism charges after his transfer from Belgium, where he was arrested after four months on the run.
