A prophetess, Felicia Oyelade has been sentenced to two years imprisonment by a Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Akure, Ondo State, over forgery land documents.

The 59-year-old prophetess acclaimed to be in charge of the Christ Apostolic Church, Ori Oke Basiri, along Idanre Road, Akure, was in the business of forging land documents and selling same to unsuspecting members of the public.

Her case has been in the court since 2013 after the allegation that she altered documents on agreement between her late husband, Olasunkanmi Oyelade and the petitioner in the matter, Mr.  Isaac Babalola.

As disclosed by the prosecution counsel, Mr Adewale Bamisile, the convict changed the original documents to read 12 hectares of land purchased at a cost of N35, 000, instead of 7.871 hectares acquired for N25, 500 by her late husband in 1977.
