The Wuse Zone 2 Magistrate Court in Abuja on Monday, November 23 was greeted with protests as supporters of Nnamdi Kanu came out in their numbers in a solidarity protest for their leader.

The embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra was finally arraigned on Monday at the Magistrate court.

Kanu’s appearance follows the directive by the court last Wednesday to the Department of State Services (DSS) that they must produce the detained Kanu in court today.

Last week, the DSS was expected to produce Kanu in court but they failed to do so.
Kanu was looking thin, unkempt and in need of a hair cut.

There had been rumours on his state of health, with his family and supporters saying they were unsure if he was still alive.

The magistrate, Mr Usman Shuaibu, adjourned the trial of Kanu until December 1, after listening to both counsels, representing the complainant, the Department of State Service (DSS), Moses Idakwo and counsel representing the accused, Kanu, who identified himself as Vincent Obetta.
