PTAD Seeks To Take Over Property Of Pension Thief

Published

on

A former head of pension desk in the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation (OHoSF) is set to lose a property he allegedly acquired through pension fraud.

LEADERSHIP learnt that the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), which is currently occupying a rented building as its head office in Abuja, may be the beneficiary, in its bid to have a permanent headquarters.

This is in furtherance of government’s efforts to save on rent payment.

LEADERSHIP learnt that the property in question, which has been confiscated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is idle and would be utilised as PTAD headquarters and save the agency the cost of rentage.

Sources in the know said that PTAD was already in talks with the EFCC over the building, with the aim of acquiring it for its operations since it was illegally acquired from pension money.

Attempts to confirm the development at the agency’s No. 22 Katsina Ala Crescent, Maitama head office were unsuccessful as no one was willing to talk.
