I was pushed out of the Army through ‘jungle justice’ – Ex-DMI

Published

on

A former Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Abubakar Sadeeq Hanafi Sa’ad, has cried out that six months since his compulsory retirement by the Army Council for alleged “serious offences,” five months since he sent a petition to President Muhammadu Buhari and three months since he sent a reminder to the Chief of Defence Staff, no action has been taken by either the Presidency or the military authorities on his petition.

In the petition, he urged the president to stop the “jungle justice and settling of scores” meted out to him in Buhari’s name.

General Sa’ad, who was Nigeria’s Defence Attaché in Bamako at the height of the Malian crisis, was retired last June along with 37 other senior military officers. Although his letter of compulsory retirement by the Army Council dated June 9, 2016 did not state any reason for the action, the Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Mansur Dan-Ali, later told reporters that all the officers were retired either for being politically partisan in the 2015 general and other elections or were “financially corrupt,” a reference to the arms money scandal otherwise known as Dasukigate.

He is a stupid man. Is that what he termed as jungle justice? Rubbish. They should have locked him up like Dasuki.

Truly I support this man. He was dismissed illegally. Buhari should grant him right of fair hearing.

Buhari will never listen to General Sa’ad at all. You’ve been retired by the higher forces, respect yourself by not complaining before EFCC starts opening your dirty files to the public

It’s like this man wants to die in service oo. He’d collect all his entitlements since he was retired, he should at least be grateful they didn’t dismiss him

Leave him, let him shout. I don’t think he knows what jungle justice means, he has the hand to write letters because he’d collect his entitlements, if he was compelled to retire and they scrapped all his entitlements he’d understand what jungle justice means better.
