Putin plays down retaliation against US

Russia’s number one citizen Vladimir Putin has declared that his country will not retaliate against the US ­dramatic expulsion of 35 Russians for allegedly interfering in the last US election.

In a statement released by Kremlin which also invited children of US diplomats to a holiday party at the governments seat of power, Putin said; “We will not create problems for American diplomats. We will not expel anyone”.

The fiery leader in the statement also noted that Russia has all the reasons to retaliate but it will not even after Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov suggested a tit-for-tat response was in the works.

“According to international practice, Russia has all the grounds for a comparable response,” Putin announced.
“Reserving the right to retaliatory measures, we… will be planning our next steps in restoring US-Russian relations based on the policies pursued by the administration of president Donald Trump,” Putin added.
