#QUITNOTICE: Emir Sanusi, Osinbajo meet over growing tension

The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II and Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday met behind closed doors for more than two hours at the Presidential Villa Abuja.

The meeting which started around 2:41pm continued till around 4:50pm when Sanusi stepped out from Osinbajo’s office to the waiting glance of anxious State House correspondents who wanted to know the reason for his visit.

He however refused to respond to probing questions from the newsmen but rather exchanged pleasantries with some presidential aides at the Villa.

While no report has yet released in relation to the meeting, speculations are that the Kano State emir may have visited the Acting President in respect to the growing tension in the country following the October 1, quit notice Arewa youths gave to Ndigbo resident in the North.

Osinbajo, who had already engaged both leaders of thought from the North and South East regions, is scheduled to meet with traditional rulers from the South East on Friday and those of them from the North on Monday.
