Ramadan: Police in Gambia bans music, dance during fasting

The police in Gambia have issued a press statement through the Inspector General of police warning the general public that all ceremonies, festivities and programs that involve drumming, music and dance during Ramadan are prohibited.

The statement issued by the Inspector General of police warns all to desist from such acts otherwise they will be eventually apprehended and face the full force of the law without compromise.

The release by Gambia’s IGP also advised the general public to report any such persons or groups violating the order to the police as stern action will be taken against those found wanting.
