Rampaging Boko Haram kills 4 in fresh Borno attack
The Boko Haram terrorist group in North East Nigeria has continued to run amok and had late Saturday raided Amarwa village, Konduga district which is about 20 kilometres from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, killing four people.
A local militia in the affected village, Ibrahim Liman, claimed that the Boko Haram terrorists stormed the village late night on Saturday and short sporadically at the villagers while also burning down many homes.
He said, “Two were shot dead and the other two choked to death in the fire the attackers set to houses and a number of people were also injured.”
A chief in the area who refused to reveal his name said the attack began at about 11 pm (2200 GMT) and continued past midnight.
“We have so far recovered four bodies, two of them with bullet wounds,” said the local chief, who did not want to be named. We lost our homes and food stocks in the fire.”

The insurgent group which has resumed intense attack in the North East had also last May attacked Amarwa village and killed six farmers.
The Nigerian Army, had since its claim of ejecting the terrorists group from Sambisa forest, continued to described Boko Haram as a spent force.
